Your cake has arrived—now a few simple choices will keep its texture and flavour exactly where they should be until the first slice.

Keep it cool

Cheesecakes and cream-filled cakes should go into the refrigerator soon after delivery. Keep the cake in its box, on a flat shelf, away from strongly scented foods.

Brownies, cookies and biscuits are happiest in a cool, dry place in their closed packaging. Granola should also be sealed well so it stays crisp.

Let flavour wake up

For the best texture, take a chilled celebration cake out of the refrigerator around 20 to 30 minutes before serving. A short rest softens the filling and lets chocolate, fruit and caramel flavours become more expressive.

Slice cleanly

Use a long, sharp knife. Warm the blade under hot water, dry it, then cut one slice. Wipe and repeat between cuts for a neat finish—especially with cheesecake.

If you have leftovers, return them to the refrigerator promptly in a covered container. For the exact storage time of your chosen cake, ask us when ordering, as fresh fruit and fillings can differ.
